Wed 1/27

We finished our introduction to transformations today with the second half of Lesson 7.4.

We'll be taking our Chapter 7 test tomorrow. Be sure to study your chapter summary, warm-ups, class work and homework to help you arrive fully prepared. This'll be your first test of second semester, and you want to get off to a great start!

Monday 1/25

Today we tackled reflections with the first half of Lesson 7.4. We'll finish the other half on Wednesday.

We'll be taking our Chapter 7 test on Thursday, which will cover all three transformations that we've learned so far:

  • Translations
  • Rotations
  • Reflections

Be sure to study lessons 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 to get yourself fully prepared.

Today we worked with rotations with the first part of Lesson 7.3. We'll finish the rest of the lesson tomorrow.

Today is class we explored the effects of our second kind of transformation, a rotation, with an awesome Desmos activity.

Thurs 1/14

We continued our work with translations today with a look at translating linear functions in Lesson 7.2.

We discovered that translating a linear function either vertically or horizontally will change the y-intercept, but will not change the slope in any way.
